LET’S TALK ABOUT INTERNET PROMOTION.

Internet music promotion entails these two things – getting reviews and coverage on music and entertainment blogs and internet magazines, and your own promotion work that involves interacting with your fans, usually using social media.
ONLINE PROMOTION:

Getting online coverage is not as difficult as you may think. All you need is to get your EPK prepared, make a list of contacts, initiate dialogue, and there you go! You can also do research on the internet by getting a list of music blogs and online magazines. Your social network contacts can also help you in this area. The most easy way however, is to locate an online music publicist or promoter who will do the job of spreading your song around all these blogs for a specified amount.

There are also music promotion websites that allow you to upload and share your songs for free if you join and create a profile. E.g.  www.reverbnation.com, www.iwantairplay.com and so many others. Find them by doing extensive research on the internet.

FAN INTERACTION
This is that part where you use your social networking to the maximum. Twitter is one of the strongest music promotion tools for now and the earlier you get on it, the better it is for you.
Make it a habit to keep in touch with your audience by volunteering information about your projects, your performances, and once in a while, a little personal detail.

Answer questions and engage in conversations with your followers and friends online. Remember to set aside some time each day to manage your online presence.
